Dr. Oheneyere Gifty Anti (born Gifty Dansoa Anti) is an award-winning Ghanaian broadcast journalist, media entrepreneur, author, feminist, and traditional leader whose influence spans nearly three decades. With over 29 years of experience in journalism, she is widely regarded as one of Africa’s most respected female media personalities and a leading advocate for women’s empowerment.
She is the CEO of GDA Media Ltd and the Founder and Host of the long-running television programme The Standpoint, now rebranded as TSP with Gifty Anti, which has aired for 17 years. Through this platform, she has led transformative national conversations on gender equality, leadership, family, faith, and social development, giving voice to critical issues affecting women and society.
Beyond media, Oheneyere Gifty Anti serves in traditional leadership as the Mpuntu Hemaa (Development Queen Mother) of Ekumfi Nanaben in Ghana’s Central Region. Enstooled under the stool name Nana Efua Dansoa Nkuma I, she uses her royal role to champion girls’ education, women’s leadership, and community development, bridging cultural heritage with progressive advocacy.
A best-selling author of eight books, she is also a globally recognized public speaker, listed among the 100 Most Powerful Speakers by The Speakers Bureau. She mentors emerging leaders locally and internationally, including fellows of YALI RLC West Africa and other leadership networks.
Her advocacy is institutionalized through the Gifty Anti Foundation, which runs impactful initiatives including the Girl in Need Foundation (GiNF), Awo Dansoa Reading Project, Happy Feet Project, A Happy Day for Pregnant Women initiative, and The Backpack Project, all focused on supporting underserved girls, children, and vulnerable women. She has collaborated with law enforcement to rescue trafficked girls and serves as a National Zero Malaria Champion.
Academically, she holds a Master’s Degree in International Journalism from City University of London, a Diploma in Journalism from Ghana Institute of Journalism, and an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Letters). She is an alumna of Mfantsiman Girls’ Secondary School.
With over 70 awards to her name, she has received numerous national and continental recognitions. She has been inducted into the RTP Africa Awards Hall of Fame (2026), solidifying her legacy in African broadcasting, alongside multiple honors for leadership, media excellence, and women’s rights advocacy.
