Mrs. Ethel Delali Cofie

Mrs. Ethel Cofie is a pioneering Ghanaian tech entrepreneur, innovation strategist, and champion for women’s inclusion in technology. She is the CEO and Founder of EDEL Technology Consulting, an IT consulting and digital products firm operating across West Africa and Europe, and the driving force behind Women in Tech Africa, the continent’s largest network of women technologists spanning over 30 African countries and the diaspora. She has been repeatedly recognized among the top women shaping IT in Africa, with her insights on technology and women’s leadership featured on global platforms including BBC and CNN, and her organization has helped bring together thousands of women through events like Women in Tech Week.

Beyond entrepreneurship, Ethel serves on multiple corporate and advisory boards and is deeply engaged in shaping digital policy and skills development across Africa. In 2025, she was appointed to the Board of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), where she advocates for expanded digital inclusion and equitable access to technology nationwide.
