Mrs. Velma Owusu-Bempah

Mrs. Velma Owusu-Bempah is an award-winning Ghanaian milliner, accessories designer, and fashion educator renowned for her influence in elevating African luxury fashion and craftsmanship. She is the Creative Director of Velma’s Millinery & Accessories and the Principal of Velma’s Millinery Academy, through which she trains emerging designers in millinery, bag making, jewelry, and fashion business skills. Her brand has produced bespoke pieces for high-profile personalities including Ghana’s First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Samira Bawumia (Second Lady of Ghana), and international figures, and has been showcased at global events such as the London Great Hat Exhibition.
