Ms. Pearl Modiadie

Ms. Pearl Modiadie was born in Tembisa, South Africa. She completed her diploma in Media Studies and Journalism at Rosebank College in 2009, which opened the door to one of the most celebrated careers in South African media. She is a multifaceted talent, a television presenter, radio DJ, actress, producer, voice-over artist, and event MC with a versatile career spanning over 20 years.

Her television work includes hosting the widely loved SABC1 music talk show Zaziwa, presenting on SABC3’s Expresso, hosting Sistahood, Raw Silk, and It Takes A Village, and playing the role of Kefilwe Malope on the e.tv soapie Scandal!. On the big stage, she has proudly MC’d high-profile events such as the SAFTAs, the MetroFM Music Awards, the Mbokodo Women in the Arts Awards, the Crown Gospel Music Awards, and the Audi Festival of Motoring.

Her achievements speak for themselves. She won Favourite TV Presenter at the Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards in 2019 and was named Most Stylish Performing Artist in Film or TV at the SA Style Awards the same year. As a brand ambassador, she has worked with Shoprite, Ackermans, Edgars, and PEP, among others. She welcomed her son in September 2020.
