Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha is a distinguished actress, director, and producer renowned for her significant contributions to Nollywood. Embarking on her acting career in 2000 with the film ‘The Apple,’ Chioma quickly established herself as a versatile and compelling actress. Over the years, she has featured in over 350 Nollywood productions, showcasing her talent and dedication to the craft. Her exceptional performance in ‘Sins of the Flesh’ earned her the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2007. Beyond acting, Chioma has ventured into film production, with notable works including the critically acclaimed ‘On Bended Knees.’ In January 2019, she launched Masterclass With Chioma,’ a platform designed to mentor aspiring actors and filmmakers, providing them with industry insights and professional guidance. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Chioma has served as a brand ambassador for several reputable organizations, including telecommunications giant Globacom, Omo Detergent, and Harpic Cleaner. She is married to Franklyn Akpotha in 2006, with whom she has two children.
