Profile

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe (born May 7, 1984) is a dynamic Ghanaian businesswoman, philanthropist, and politician who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for the Amenfi Central constituency. A trailblazer in the mining industry, she rose to national prominence as the President of Golden Empire Legacy Limited, earning recognition as Ghana’s first and only licensed female gold exporter. Her business leadership in a traditionally male-dominated sector established her as a powerful figure in the Ghanaian corporate world before she transitioned into public service.

In the political arena, Joana Gyan Cudjoe represents the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Her journey to Parliament was marked by significant legal challenges regarding her eligibility, which she eventually overcame to be sworn in as MP following the 2024 general elections. As a legislator, she is a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, social justice, and infrastructure development within her constituency. She frequently applies her “Give to Gain” philosophy to community projects, including education support, healthcare initiatives, and agricultural development.

Beyond her professional and political life, she is well known in the entertainment space through her marriage to Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, also known as Keche Andrew of the music duo Keche. Today, she is viewed as a multifaceted leader balancing international business influence with grassroots development impact.
