Jane Karuku is a distinguished businesswoman currently serving as the Group Managing Director and CEO of East African Breweries Limited (EABL), a position she has held since January 2021. Prior to this, she was the Managing Director of Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) starting in July 2015. Her extensive career spans over 25 years, encompassing roles in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), telecommunications, and non-governmental organizations. Notably, Ms. Karuku served as the President of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) from 2012 to 2014 and held senior positions at Cadbury Schweppes, Telkom Kenya, Farmers Choice Kenya, and Kenya Cooperative Creameries. In addition to her corporate achievements, Ms. Karuku actively contributes to various boards and organizations. She is the Chairperson of Kenya’s Vision 2030 Board and the Kenya COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. She also serves as a trustee at the United States International University (USIU) and is a board member of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers. Her leadership and dedication have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Presidential Order of Service, Uzalendo Award in May 2020, and the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (MGH) in December 2020. Ms. Karuku is married and a mother of two.
