Zuwaira Isah-Ikharo

Zuwaira Isah-Ikharo’s entrepreneurial journey is deeply rooted in her personal experiences and unwavering determination to create a positive impact. It all began during a challenging high-risk pregnancy when she was expecting triplets. Faced with the necessity to steer clear of harmful chemicals and substances, she identified a gap in the market for safe and effective baby care products. Driven by her own struggles, she embarked on a mission to develop natural and organic solutions.

Starting with crafting homemade baby care products using natural ingredients, Zuwaira shared her creations on social media platforms. The overwhelming response from fellow mothers fuelled her belief in the potential of her products and inspired her to invest in enhancing her knowledge and skills. This led her to enroll in a cosmetic science formulation course in London, specializing in children’s products. After obtaining her certification, she began developing her unique formulas, adhering to international standards.

In 2018, Zuwaira officially launched Amal Botanicals, a brand dedicated to providing mothers and babies with safe, gentle, and effective products that nurture their skin and promote overall well-being. Under her leadership, Amal Botanicals swiftly gained recognition, catering to customers not only in Nigeria but also reaching beyond borders. Beyond her role as a businesswoman, Zuwaira Isah-Ikharo serves as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially women. She is deeply passionate about empowering others to pursue their dreams and achieve financial independence. Zuwaira actively mentors individuals seeking to embark on their entrepreneurial journey, sharing her personal experiences of overcoming obstacles and seizing opportunities.

Zuwaira’s diverse professional background reflects her adaptability and determination. Prior to venturing into entrepreneurship, she garnered nearly a decade of experience in the public sector, working as Deputy Manager Tax at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and holding various consultancy roles across Nigeria. Her career journey commenced as a Graduate Audit Trainee and Student Intern at Pedabo, where she honed her foundational skills.

Committed to continuous learning, Zuwaira has pursued various academic achievements, including a diploma in Natural Cosmetic Formulation from Formula Botanica and courses on essential oils from The Essential Oil Institute by Dr. Josh Axe. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management from Igbinedion University, Okada, followed by a diploma in the same field from the University of Abuja.

Zuwaira Isah-Ikharo’s story serves as a testament to the power of innovation, resilience, and passion.
