Sibongile Sambo

When Sibongile Sambo was turned down for a flight attendant position at South African Airways due to not meeting the minimum height requirements, she refused to let her dream of flying die. Instead, she forged her own path in the aviation industry. Today, she stands as the founder and managing director of SRS Aviation, making history as the first black female-owned aviation company in South Africa.

SRS Aviation specializes in providing professional and personalized flight services worldwide, offering a range of charter options including VIP, tourist, and cargo services. Additionally, the company provides specialized services such as game count and capture, as well as medical evacuation services.  Sibongile’s remarkable achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including the Regional Business Woman of the Year, Black Women in Business, and Top Emerging Gender Empowered Company awards.

Beyond her professional success, Sibongile is also a devoted mother of two boys, balancing her entrepreneurial endeavours with her family life.
