Patricia Obo-Nai

Patricia Obo-Nai has made history as the first Ghanaian CEO of Vodafone Ghana, a remarkable achievement that underscores her exceptional leadership in the telecom industry. Throughout her illustrious career spanning 25 years, she has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Woman of the Year award at the EMY Africa Awards and the Tech Industry Personality of the Year title.

With over a decade of dedicated service at Vodafone, Patricia has played pivotal roles, including technology director, before assuming the CEO position in 2019. Under her visionary leadership, Vodafone has spearheaded groundbreaking innovations, such as the award-winning free mobile money transfers across all networks, propelling the company to second place in the mobile money market.

Patricia’s journey in telecom began as a network planning engineer at Millicom Ghana (Tigo) in 2000,  where she rose through the ranks to become the first female chief technology officer in 2006. Her contributions were instrumental in the successful transformation of the Tigo network from analogue to digital.

Beyond her professional achievements, Patricia is deeply committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. She actively serves as an advisory council member of the West Africa STEM Hub and is a proud member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers and the Executive Women Network.

Patricia holds a degree in electrical engineering and has further enriched her expertise with an MBA. Despite her remarkable career milestones, she finds joy and fulfillment in her role as a devoted wife and mother of three children.
