Njeri Rionge embarked on her entrepreneurial journey at just 19, venturing into the business world by selling yogurt at schools in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to diversify into clothing sales and various other small-scale enterprises.
Today, Njeri stands as a trailblazing figure in Africa’s IT sector, recognized as one of the pioneering investors in the field. She co-founded Wananchi Online, the first mass-market internet service provider in East Africa, which has since evolved into the region’s leading internet company.
In addition to her groundbreaking work with Wananchi Online, Njeri has founded numerous other successful ventures, including Ignite Consulting, a thriving business consultancy, and Ignite Lifestyle, a reputable healthcare consultancy. She is also the visionary behind Business Lounge, a prominent startup incubator in Kenya, and Insite, a dynamic digital marketing agency. Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits, Njeri is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of business leaders in Kenya. She generously shares her knowledge and expertise with young entrepreneurs, empowering them to cultivate and expand their own enterprises.
