Marie Diop serves as the Corporate Affairs Manager for West Africa at IAMGOLD, where she oversees corporate communications and government relations in Senegal, Mali, and Burkina Faso. In addition to her role in managing stakeholder relationships, she is actively involved in community development projects implemented by IAMGOLD across these three countries.
As a member of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) multi-stakeholder group, Marie contributes to governance issues in the sector and advocates for transparency and accountability. She is also an engaged member of the Chamber of Mines of Senegal. Before joining IAMGOLD, Marie worked as a Commercial Diplomacy Officer at the British Embassy in Dakar, where she facilitated partnerships between UK companies and the Senegalese government to promote foreign investment.
Marie holds a degree in International Business from the Nottingham Business School, England, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Oil, Gas, and Mining Law from the Nottingham Law School, England. Outside of her professional endeavors, Marie is a devoted mother.
