Gifty Osei Boakye Bingley, a former Ghanaian television journalist and news broadcaster, has transitioned into the role of Communications and Strategy Executive. With a robust background in journalism and communication, she previously served as the Director of Corporate Communications and Corporate Responsibility at Tigo Ghana.
Gifty holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), along with master’s degrees in political communication from the University of Leeds and development management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Additionally, she is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in the United Kingdom.
Currently, Gifty Osei Boakye Bingley is leveraging her expertise as a Senior Communications Officer at the African Union, where she leads as the Head of Public Information. Her role involves spearheading communication strategies and initiatives to advance the organization’s objectives. Notably, she joined AMISOM in July 2018, contributing to the organization’s mission as a multi-dimensional non-profit peace assistance operation sanctioned by both the African Union Peace and Security Council (AU PSC) and the United Nations Security Council.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Gifty is also a devoted mother, balancing her career with the responsibilities of parenthood.
