Mary Remmy Njoku, born on March 20th, 1985, in Mile 2 Estate, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos State, Nigeria, is a Nollywood actress, producer, and CEO of Rok Studios. Her parents hail from Nsukka, Enugu State. Remmy made her acting debut in the movie “Home Sickness,” where she featured alongside
Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha. However, she gained popularity after her role in the movie “Blackberry Babes.” This opportunity allowed her to work with other prominent figures in the movie industry, leading to an interesting career advancement.
In 2013, Remmy launched ROK Studios, Iroko’s film studio and entertainment brand, which is a leading African film and television studio and production house based in Lagos, Nigeria. Under her leadership as CEO, ROK Studios has produced and released about 200 movies in a short span, including blockbusters such as “Husbands of Lagos,” “Desperate Housegirls,” “Losing Control,” and “Cougars.”
