Theresa Ayoade

Theresa Ayoade, a seasoned creative entrepreneur, marketing communications, and events specialist, co-founded CharterHouse Productions, a leading marketing, events, and audio-visual production firm in West Africa, where she currently serves as CEO.

With over twenty-two years of experience, Theresa has adeptly managed public, corporate, and national events, as well as audio-visual and TV productions. Her journey began after attending Achimota School, a prestigious senior high school in Ghana, where she acknowledges the significant impact it had on her life.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Theresa held roles such as Sales Manager at Luv FM and Promotions Manager at Joy FM. However, it was her bold move into radio sales that paved the way for her success in the creative industry, despite lacking prior experience in the field. After four years in sales and promotions, Theresa partnered with her husband to establish CharterHouse in 2000. As CEO, she led the company in creating and organizing the Ghana Music Awards, which has grown into Ghana’s most prominent awards festival since its inception in 2000, with Daddy Lumba clinching the first Artiste of the Year award.

Beyond her professional achievements, Theresa has been happily married to her Nigerian husband, hailing from the esteemed Ayoade family of Ede, Osun State, for over 23 years, and together they are blessed with lovely children.
